Member of Parliament(MP) for Assin Central Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has indicated that becoming a flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is not for a particular group of people.

According to him, claims by some group of people that it’s their time to lead are neither here nor because the party is not their royal inheritance to claim they are the next in succession.

He indicates that he also has contributed his quota to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) since its formation days and it’s time he also leads the party to make history.

“Who can say it’s his time when we were also founding members of the Danquah, Busia in America in 1990? I first gave Adu Boahene $300,000 so who says he’s close to the flagbearership than me? 1990 till now is 32 years and by the time we will go for the elections it will be 34 years. So if you serve the party for 34 years and someone comes to say it’s his time..Is it for his mother’s royal family?”

He continued”Who is that man who has whole heartedly supported the NPP with his money than me? Who Is that man who after releasing funds for campaign also join in the campaign process for people to insult him than me? Then someone will come and say it’s his time. Is the flagbearership your mother’s inheritance?

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong said he has no fears in his quest to become the flagbearer of the NPP indicating that “No one is a threat to my ambition. I will beat them hands down”.

Kennedy Agyapong indicated that even without a Ministerial appointment, he has been able to create jobs that feeds a number of Ghanaian homes and therefore is the man for the job but “if you will go and vote for people who will come and speak English it is up to you”.

On the National Election, Kennedy Agyapong indicated that he will beat John Dramani Mahama hands down because he has failed the North.
